Karen Elizabeth Donovan

Karen recently received her Master of Fine Arts Degree with Distinction from Edinburgh College of Art. Previously she studied at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY to earn her Bachelor of Science in Studio Art, Magna Cum Laude. Working mainly in titanium she takes inspiration from her immediate environment, inspired by natural Scotland and exhibitions she visits. While she grew up in Boston, MA she spent much of her life travelling in the attempt to see as much of the world as possible. Because of this she adapts to and is deeply influenced by her environment.

Most of the imagery on this website was taken by the artist herself but where noted you will also find photography by Shannon Tofts, an Edinburgh-based photographer who is especially respected in the crafts sector.
